Have you tried to do a task and said, "There must be a better way to do this."
Or have you looked all over for a particular garment or product and couldn't find exactly what you wanted?
Well, several suburban moms and grandmothers have been in those situations and have actually done something about it. They have invented products to make life easier for other moms.
Ashley Koo of Chicago started her company My Izzy Hair Accessories because Izzy, her daughter was born with a ton of hair. Ashley wanted to find cool hair accessories for her that stayed in place. Ashley shopped all over Chicago and only found boring hair accessories that didn't stay in Izzy's silky baby hair. Then she made it her personal mommy mission and scanned the globe for such items. She found amazing stuff. She now runs her company from her south side Chicago home tons of moms are grateful to have found her! Ashley offers items for newborns with fine hair to tweens and teens who just want to accessorize with funk and flair. Products are hand made and have been individually selected for myizzy.com. All of the products have been tried on Ashley's daughter to make sure they pass the "Izzy" test for quality and durability. Prices are $4 and up at www.myizzy.com

Myizzy.com made its second debut on TV today. I was asked to appear on the local ABC station here in chicago to talk about my new business. It was a great experience and great exposure for the site. I had a lot of fun doing the segment with other mom-entrepreneurs.
